In Phase 1, I conducted research using Microsoft Forms to gather information on the awareness and understanding of e-waste among Grade 11 learners at my school.
The survey included key questions such as:
- Rate your understanding of E-Waste on a scale of 5 being the best and 1 being the lowest (rating scale)
- Where do you primarily get your information about e-waste? (single choice)
- Does the community you live in have effective allocated places whereby you can recycle electronic waste? (single choice)
- What specific concern(s) do you have regarding the environmental effects of e-waste. (single choice)
- What do you think should be the primary sources of funding for e-waste management initiatives? (single choice)
More questions such as these were asked to get a wider scope of the learners awareness of how their e-waste contributes to the environmental downfall or crash of the country. The data gathered from this investigation was graphed and tabulated to illiustate the data provided.
